Position Summary and Essential Job Duties:
Candidate will assist in maintaining Windows 2000 and Citrix servers and workstations, provide support to end users on a variety of issues. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Respond to telephone calls, email and personal requests for technical support. Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution. Install software, printers, telephones, etc. Troubleshoot problematic PC issues and other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be knowledgeable in Win XP, MS Office, Outlook, Active Directory and familiar with help desk tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills needed with a high focus on customer service.
  • Ability to provide creative solutions to user problems to ensure user satisfaction and productivity
  • Ability to move and handle computer equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Experience in managing groups and user permissions
  • Basic understanding of service delivery framework
  • Basic understanding of networks, PCs and hardware configuration
  • Participation in occasional project teams; resourceful and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Repetitive use of hands and arms.
  • Eye strain from continual computer use.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Education

  • College degree or a Minimum 2 years professional experience in IT (certifications are a plus)
